This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for finance and compliance. As the Head of Compliance and Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring that Sanlam Limited's financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.

You will lead the financial reporting team and be responsible for managing quarterly and annual reporting processes, including regulatory filings. Your knowledge of financial regulations and standards will be crucial in maintaining compliance and implementing necessary changes within the organization.

A key aspect of this role is the development and maintenance of robust internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies and fraud. You will also coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate comprehensive and efficient audits.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a deep understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards. Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is also essential.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the financial reporting function. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels, are also required.
