As a Group Accounting Manager at Sanlam Limited, you will be responsible for managing the accounting function across the group. You will lead a team of accountants and provide guidance on financial reporting, accounting policies, and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and coordinating financial reports, analyzing financial information, and compiling and analyzing financial data.
You will also be responsible for installing, modifying, documenting, and coordinating the implementation of accounting systems and control procedures. You will audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate transactions prior to settlement. Additionally, you will make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures, and may have supervisory and/or client relationship responsibilities.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of financial reporting systems, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. You will work closely with the team to automate and optimize processes, and contribute to projects that improve financial reporting and analysis.
If you are a qualified accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in an accounting or financial environment, and possess a deep understanding of financial reporting systems, we encourage you to apply.
