Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Debate: Contribute to executive-level discussions that inform the direction and deliverables of the division.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct detailed research and analysis to provide substance to the ideas and direction of the executive team.
  • Project Management: Manage strategic initiatives on a cross-business and cross-functional basis.
  • Reporting Governance: Ensure effective management of business reporting governance and compliance for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Presentation Preparation: Compile presentations and speeches for delivery by the Chief Growth Officer to both internal and external audiences.
  • Social Media Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Social Media team to bring awareness and visibility to the work being executed.
  • Operational Design: Input into operational design and process efficiencies.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare proposals for strategic partnerships, new business, and new products for distribution.
Key Responsibilities
  • New Markets Strategy: Co-develop and drive the New Markets business strategy alongside the New Markets Executive team.
  • Project Ownership: Take ownership of projects that support the realization of the business strategy.
  • Business Performance Insights: Collate, analyze, and draw insights on business performance for the New Markets area.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify, negotiate, and realize new business opportunities with internal and external partners.
  • Executive-Level Debate: Participate in strategic debate on an executive level.
  • Initiative Operationalization: Enable, coordinate, and operationalize the strategic initiatives of the executive management teams.
  • Governance Forums: Collate and drive preparation for various governance forums for the New Markets area.
  • General Manager Support: Provide high-level support to the General Manager in the execution of her responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Relevant degree/s at postgraduate level or higher, with a strong analytical or business focus.
  • Experience: Six to ten years of business experience, preferably in a consulting leadership role or strategy function.
  • International Exposure: International exposure - projects and/or business.
  • Business Experience: Extensive business and/or technical experience with a proven track record of innovation, entrepreneurship, delivery, and performance.
