The Building Company is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the store/branch manager and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail stores.

Job Description

Purpose

Provide administrative assistance to the store/branch manager, ensuring the effective operation of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll and Employee Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, as well as maintaining up-to-date employee records.
  • HR Support: Provide administrative support to the HR department, including recruitment, induction, and general HR-related tasks.
  • Stationery and Supplies: Manage the ordering and distribution of stationery and supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Store Operations: Assist in the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: At least 3-4 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Certifications: Bookkeeping certificate or equivalent administration certificate would be an advantage.
