Granor Passi (Pty) Ltd, a leading fruit processor in South Africa with its Head Office situated in Polokwane (Limpopo), seeks to employ a Fruit Coordinator in the Polokwane Factory to effectively liaise with fruit providers, source fruit, and maintain good relationships through excellent communication.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain and assure excellence in client communication.
  • Continuously liaise with providers to source fruit.
  • Coordinate Fruit Intake and Weigh Bridge activities, including daily liaison with internal departments on supply and demand of fruit, truck loading, and service level agreements with transport companies.
  • Effective administration, processing, and reconciling of documents.
  • Keep proper records for control and auditing purposes.
  • Ensure Food Safety Management Systems are in place to systematically identify and minimize food safety risks using proactive, preventative measures and controls.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • National Diploma/Degree in Agricultural background, with fresh fruit procurement experience.
  • 4 years' experience in a food factory environment, of which at least 2 years as a supervisor.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  • Knowledge of the Citrus and Guava industry.
  • Knowledge of quality and food safety standards (i.e., ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and Global GAP).
  • Working experience in Microsoft Office and Sage.
  • Hands-on approach.
  • Accuracy with figures.
  • Ability to motivate employees.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations.
  • Time management important to adhere to deadlines.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, delegate, control, prioritize, and work under pressure.
