We are seeking an exceptional UAV Ground Control Station Expert to join our team at RareCruit. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and conducting training programs on UAV GCS systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Training Delivery: Design and execute comprehensive training sessions for personnel on GCS setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance, utilizing hands-on approaches to enhance learning outcomes.
- Instructional Materials Creation: Develop high-quality instructional materials such as manuals, presentations, and simulations to support learning and development.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of UAV GCS hardware and software components, ensuring system reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to address technical issues and improve GCS functionality, enhancing overall system performance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and certification outcomes, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports on GCS maintenance, repairs, and operational incidents, providing valuable insights for improvement.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines during training sessions and GCS maintenance activities, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel involved.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to UAV GCS operations and safety, ensuring our organization remains compliant and innovative.
- Education: Hold a diploma in Aviation, Engineering, Education, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in relevant disciplines.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in UAV operations, with specific expertise in Ground Control Stations, showcasing expertise in GCS systems and operations.
- Transportation: Own reliable transportation to facilitate travel for training purposes.
- Simulation Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using simulation software and other training aids for UAS instruction, enhancing the effectiveness of training programs.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to adapt training approaches to meet client-specific needs, fostering flexibility and innovation in training delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Display the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- UAV GCS Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of UAV GCS hardware, software, telemetry systems, and communication protocols, ensuring a deep knowledge base for training delivery.
- Previous Experience: Have previous experience in instructional roles, conducting technical training, preferably with a focus on UAV operations and maintenance.
- Certification: Hold certification in UAV operations and maintenance, where applicable, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and expertise.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively, facilitating successful training delivery.
- Travel and Adaptability: Be willing to travel occasionally for training purposes and flexible to adapt to changing technology and training methodologies, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and flexibility.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with South African aviation regulations and compliance standards, ensuring a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations.
The estimated salary for this position is R550,000 - R650,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
