The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing comprehensive primary health care services to all students of Nelson Mandela University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality primary health care services to students, including medical emergency services
  • Implement and manage HIV/AIDS preventative, curative, care, and support services
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies
  • Apply sound management principles to record keeping, statistics, and general orders
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on outreach projects, referrals, and support services
  • Provide educational and research-related support to students
  • Manage infectious disease outbreaks
  • Assist with transporting students' needs on and off campus

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in General Nursing and Midwifery, Community Health Nursing, and Psychiatry
  • Certificates in Adult Primary Care, TB Management, and HIV/AIDS training
  • Degree in South African Nursing Council
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in primary healthcare setting
  • Code 8 driver's license
