Job Description

Position Summary: Isilumko Staffing (JHB) is seeking an experienced Reporting Analyst to contribute to the development and implementation of the State of Transformation Annual Report Plan for the financial sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Financial Sector Code of 2017 and the ability to handle large datasets from various sub-sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the State of Transformation Annual Report Plan and implementation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain databases of reporting financial institutions.
  • Submit reports, prepare proposals, and presentations incorporating data collation, analysis, and visualization findings.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Present complex data findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Manage the reporting inbox and respond to reporting queries.
  • Draft various documents, including Terms of Reference, internal policies, and work plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Certificate in the B-BBEE Management Development Programme (an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Economic Sector Reporting, including B-BBEE, Data Analytics, or a similar role.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in statistical software/tech tools for extracting, transforming, and querying data from databases.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Legislative knowledge of B-BBEE's empowering legalisations, with a focus on the Financial Sector Code (FS Code) and other regulatory frameworks.

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex analytical challenges and derive innovative solutions.

  • Ability to create engaging and informative presentations to communicate analytical results and insights effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple datasets, prioritise tasks, and meet project deadlines efficiently.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies in data analysis and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
