The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial management services and supply chain management teams, ensuring the long-term financial health of the organization.


Main Responsibilities


The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading Strategic Financial Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic financial plans to ensure the long-term financial health of the organization.
  • Managing Financial Services: Oversee the provision of financial management services, including budgeting, payroll, asset management.
  • Supply Chain Management: Lead the provisioning of supply chain management services, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Providing Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial advice and guidance to various stakeholders, including EXCO, Audit & Risk committee, external auditors.


Requirements

  • Qualifications: B Com Honours (NQF Level 8) or equivalent, and Qualified Chartered Accountant registered with the South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
  • Experience: At least 10 years' experience in financial management role, with at least 5 years in a strategic financial management role, preferably in the public sector.
  • Candidates with Alternative Qualifications: Candidates with 5 years' experience as a CFO in public services may be considered if they do not have SAICA Registration as CA.
