Job Description:

Farm Manager

The Farm Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the farm's operations, ensuring that production targets are achieved while maintaining efficient and profitable farm operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage farm operations, including planning, coordination, and control of farm activities.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization.
  • Monitor and control operational costs to ensure budget compliance.
  • Implement and manage quality assurance and risk management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Manage human resources, including employee performance, training, and development.
  • Oversee asset management, including maintenance and replacement of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure effective information gathering and system control measures are in place.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in agriculture, business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in farm management or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Working Environment:

The Farm Manager will work in a fast-paced farm environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The role will involve working with a team of farmers, technicians, and other support staff to achieve farm goals.
