Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  2. Manage and oversee the design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects, including roads and stormwater management systems.
  3. Assess potential risks, materials, and costs to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  4. Provide expert advice and resolve any emerging problems or deficiencies that may arise during project execution.
  5. Ensure that all structures and services are completed to the highest standards and are safe for use.
  6. Monitor project progress and compile reports on project status to ensure stakeholders are informed.
  7. Manage budgets and procure equipment and materials as needed.
  8. Comply with all relevant guidelines, regulations, and permits to ensure projects are completed in accordance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professionally registered with ECSA.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and execution of infrastructure projects, preferably in the road construction industry.
  • Experience with SANRAL is an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
  • Excellent project management and supervision skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
