Job Description

WSP Africa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure and Design Division within the Mine Engineering Business Unit. This role will be responsible for designing, drawing, and construction monitoring of infrastructure projects, including open channel flow hydraulics, storm water designs, earthworks modelling, and water balance development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop infrastructure projects, including storm water designs and earthworks modelling
  • Conduct construction monitoring and ensure all designs and drawings are properly documented and checked
  • Prepare cost estimates and ensure effective systems are implemented for good record keeping
  • Liaise with other staff working on projects at all levels and assist with contract administration
  • Ensure suitability of technical proposals and compile letters, reports, and prepare tender documentation
  • Provide service excellence and comply with Quality Management System
Requirements:
  • BEng/BSc Civil Engineer Degree
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in civil design engineering
  • Professionally Registered
  • Civil 3D and Civil Designer experience
  • AutoCAD experience will be beneficial
  • At least 6 years' experience with storm water design
  • PC SWWM, GoldSim, HEC RAS simulation software will be an advantage
