Inventory Management Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Dante Personnel Mpumalanga. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of stock across our branches.
Responsibilities:
- Stock Receipt and Processing: Ensure that all stock received is accurately documented and processed in a timely manner to update inventory levels.
- Picking and Packing: Pick and pack stock for projects, generating corresponding invoices for delivery, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Stock Shortages and Reordering: Identify and report stock shortages from project pack lists and retail items to the buyer for reordering, minimizing disruptions to our operations.
- Buffer Stock Management: Oversee and maintain optimal buffer stock levels, balancing inventory needs with storage capacity constraints.
- Inter-Branch Stock Movement: Coordinate and manage stock movement between branches, ensuring seamless logistics and efficient use of resources.
- Overtime Management: Track and manage overtime hours for store staff and delivery drivers, optimizing labor costs and improving productivity.
- Monthly Stock Counts: Conduct accurate and thorough monthly stock counts, submitting detailed reports to support informed business decisions.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Matric Qualification: A Matric qualification or equivalent is essential for this position.
- Experience: At least 2 years' experience in stock management, retail operations, or logistics, with a proven track record of success.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a similar industry would be beneficial in providing context and insight into the specific challenges and opportunities facing our business.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Sage Evolution, and experience handling GRNs (Goods Received Notes) is crucial for effective inventory management.
- Linguistic Skills: Fluency in Afrikaans and English is mandatory, with a third language being desirable to enhance communication with colleagues and customers.
- Transportation: The ability to travel using your own transport and hold a valid driver's license is necessary for visiting branches and attending meetings.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
