Embedded Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Test Software Engineer to join our team at Stonebridge HR Solutions in the Stellenbosch area.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled software testing professional to take ownership of software testing for consumer radar products and help establish a software testing team within the company.
Key Responsibilities- Streamline product development by developing well-oiled testing infrastructure, including writing automated test software in C# and other languages, developing embedded testing systems, and driving a long-term strategy for automated testing.
- Ensure adequate test coverage of the software by contributing to requirements analysis and spearheading the creation of software test plans.
- Help development teams find bugs and their root cause by following a methodical approach.
- NQF level 7 (BEng, BTech or Advanced Diploma) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Mid-level experience (2-4 years) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to solve programming problems with high-quality code.
- Proficiency in writing software in C#, Java, or Swift.
- Ability to write embedded software and tests in C or C++.
- A passion for quality, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to testing.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Unit testing and Test Driven Development using frameworks like Google Test.
- Continuous Integration using tools like Jenkins pipelines.
- Electronic/embedded hardware design.
- Programming in Python or MATLAB.
- Communications protocols and the ability to test and debug them.
This role offers a competitive salary range of R600,000 - R800,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have opportunities to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the development culture of the company.
