Client Relations Consultant

Position Overview
This role focuses on engaging with clients through phone and written communication, addressing intricate and unclear issues while providing robust support by disseminating information and guiding clients towards suitable actions when necessary. The individual in this position is responsible for achieving outcomes through their own initiative with minimal case escalation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients via telephone and written correspondence, adhering to established procedural, productivity, and quality benchmarks.
- Adapt to varying standards based on business needs, showcasing exceptional skills in diverse situations.
- Provide comprehensive support by sharing knowledge and persuading clients effectively.
- Handle both inbound and outbound calls as required.
- Manage correspondence-related tasks when necessary.
- Maintain proficiency across all products and processes.
- Flexibly alternate between calls and correspondence as dictated by business requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity regularly.
- Mentor less experienced service representatives due to extensive product and process knowledge.
- Assist junior staff with technical escalations and provide coaching.
- Support management in addressing and resolving complex escalations.
- Contribute to the redesign of processes for improved efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matriculation or relevant tertiary qualification.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the financial services sector.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to exhibit tact, diplomacy, and empathy in client interactions.
- Experience in employee benefits is advantageous.
- Familiarity with pension fund administration and relevant legislation is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Superfund products is a plus.
- Experience with Old Mutual Compass, EMS, and AWD/Chorus is advantageous.
Skills
Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Education
Matriculation Certificate (Matric) is required.
