Job Title: Professional Quantity Surveyor



At 27M Growth Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Professional Quantity Surveyor to enhance our construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all activities meet the required standards of quality, safety, and compliance.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

    • Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects
    • Manage budgets and track project costs
    • Prepare and report on project financial performance

  • Contract Management:

    • Draft and review contract documents
    • Administer contracts and manage changes
    • Handle claims and contractual disputes

  • Procurement:

    • Sourcing and evaluating suppliers and subcontractors
    • Preparing and issuing requests for quotations and tenders
    • Analysing bids and recommending contractors or suppliers

  • Cost Control and Monitoring:

    • Monitoring and controlling project costs to prevent overruns
    • Conducting cost analysis and forecasting
    • Preparing periodic cost reports and financial statements

  • Site Visits and Inspections:

    • Conducting site visits to monitor progress
    • Measuring and recording quantities of work completed
    • Identifying and addressing cost or quality issues

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
    • Preparing detailed reports on cost and financial performance
    • Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards

  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:

    • Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
    • Providing advice on cost-related issues
    • Resolving client inquiries and contract-related issues


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and professional registration with SACQSP
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the contracting and consulting environment
  • Relevant certifications and registrations, with a proven track record of projects engaged
