Sagen Advisory is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves both new and existing system installations, as well as ongoing service, repairs, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

As the primary point of contact for clients regarding technical service and maintenance inquiries, you will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving issues related to industrial refrigeration and chiller systems within established timelines and processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Communicating findings and recommending improvements or upgrades to systems.
  • Overseeing a team of 4 to 8 technicians to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
  • Keeping clients informed about the services provided and preparing detailed reports for both the Service Coordinator and clients.

Work Specifications:

  • Standard 40-hour work week.
  • Paid overtime opportunities.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Travel required for project installations, with all necessary company resources provided, including a vehicle, fuel card, phone, and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Red Seal certification in Commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the repair and maintenance of various refrigeration systems.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with simplex and multiplex systems using Freon R22/R134/R404/R507/R410.
  • Electrical and controls expertise to identify and resolve related issues.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, including electrical schemes and piping diagrams.
  • Self-sufficient with the capability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Experience with CO2 or Ammonia systems is not necessary.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, ranging from R20,000.00 to R40,000.00 per month, based on experience.

Remote Work: This position does not offer remote work options.
