Job Description

The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the full payroll function, including application for tax directives, completing statutory returns and handling of statutory payments. Key Responsibilities:
  • Full payroll function, including application for tax directives
  • Completing statutory returns and handling of statutory payments
  • Completing IRP 501 recons and year-end on Easyfile
  • Dealing with staff queries, garnishees & maintenance orders
  • Handling administration of medical aid, provident and funeral funds
  • Capturing employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions
  • Reconciliations of medical aid, provident and other third-party payments
  • Importing data
  • Checking payroll variances
  • Preparing payroll files for finance and producing reports for month-end
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
  • Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience
  • Proficient in MS packages
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Team player

Education Requirements: A Completed Matric (Grade 12) is required, and a Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll is preferred. 4 to 5 years' experience in a Senior Payroll Administrator position is essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company offers a competitive benefits package, including medical aid, provident fund, and funeral fund.
