Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR and Payroll Administrator to join our team at Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer payroll information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Compile and check variances and other relevant payroll controls before payroll finalization.
- Validate dismissals/resignations and verify final pay-outs, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
- Resolve second-line enquiries in a timely and effective manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Review and sign off all interim payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee payroll filing, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Print and distribute payslips on a weekly/monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Plan, organize, and implement payroll processes that meet the requirements for a successful payroll run on a daily basis.
- Reconcile payroll data to third-party vendors, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Clear reconciling items within 30 days, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Compile and distribute comprehensive month-end reports (costing, headcount, and overtime report) to business units, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
- Responsible for month-end processes, preparation, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Recommend changes or implement new processes around the payroll system to meet business requirements, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Test any cost component and legislative changes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Report all system problems to the responsible department and follow through to resolution, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Payroll Diploma or Certificate
- Experience in Payroll, with a strong understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
- Human Resource and Personal Administration knowledge, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office, with proficiency in payroll software and systems.
- BCom Degree and/or Diploma in Finance/Accounting will be advantageous, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Analytical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and find creative solutions.
- Communicating effectively, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to deal with complexity, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Customer service orientated, with a strong focus on delivering excellent service to employees and stakeholders.
- Understand payroll legislation and processes, including tax and other relevant laws and regulations.
