Job Title: Data Warehouse Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Manager to join our team at E-Merge. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, as well as contributing to the overall data warehouse architecture and database designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business intelligence solutions
  • Contribute to data warehouse architecture and database designs
  • Maintain and oversee data warehouse administration and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence and reporting technologies and processes
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications for business intelligence reports and applications
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards based on business requirements and customer specifications
  • Develop feasible technical specifications and process flows for data provision
  • Extract, transform, and load data using relevant tools
  • Verify and quality assure data provided
  • Translate business requirements into workable solutions and document solutions into technical specifications

Requirements:

  • Relevant IT and data analytics qualifications
  • Dimensional modelling and/or relevant Microsoft certification
  • 3-5 years of management experience with teams of 5-8 people
  • Training/qualifications in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel, Star quest, Python, Scala Spark, AWS Sagemaker
  • Experience with AWS/Azure SQL elastic instance, Data factory, Power BI
  • Solid understanding of metadata constructs
  • Clear understanding of EDW
  • Familiarity with data marts
  • Proven data modelling techniques
  • Experience in Ralph Kimball data warehouse modelling
  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Studio

Salary: R1.3mil to R1.5mil cost to company per annum
