Mintek Pty Ltd. is seeking a skilled Research Scientist: Mineral Processing to join their team in the Mineral Processing Division (MPD). The ideal candidate will conduct technical tasks without direct supervision and provide accurate data for simple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine scientific research using standard methods and procedures.
- Design, operate and oversee discipline-specific experimental work.
- Collect and interpret data at a quantitative and qualitative level.
- Plan and manage projects to ensure efficient use of time, equipment and facilities.
Governance and Risk Management:
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to and enforce all SHEQ requirements.
- Assess and manage risks at a project level.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum: B.Sc. Hons or 4-year Engineering degree.
- Ideal: MSc, MEng.
- 1-2 years vocational experience following first graduation.
- Must have 2-3 years Comminution and Flotation or Physical Separation experience.
