Job Title:
Chief Technology Officer - IT Infrastructure

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our IT department, ensuring all systems, networks, and infrastructure function efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing IT policies and best practices to safeguard data and maintain compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks, as well as experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics. They will also possess excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to mentor and lead a team of IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the IT department's day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient system, network, and infrastructure functioning.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to protect data and ensure industry standard compliance.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and contracts to secure cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance business processes and productivity.
  • Ensure the security of our IT infrastructure, protecting against cyber threats and data breaches.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services and support.
  • Plan and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Monitor and assess IT system performance, recommending improvements.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
  • Experience in managing IT budgets, procurement, and contracts.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good understanding of data protection regulations and cyber security.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to oversee various ICT platforms, including AD, O365, Wi-Fi, Thin Clients, AV, Help Desk, TeamViewer, Hikvision, Pal Track, and Topaz.

Estimated Salary:
R1 200 000 per annum, depending on experience.
