Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Blended Learning Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the culture and effectiveness of online learning, project-based learning, and independent student work time in our intermediate phase blended learning model.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and school administrators. They will also have a strong desire to be part of a vibrant and dynamic work environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Create a positive student culture around online learning and independent work time
- Actively coach students on computer programs and ensure that educational software meets student needs
- Develop and submit lesson plans for project-based learning in collaboration with intermediate phase teachers
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators to create individualized learning plans for students
- Use SPARK culture and behavior management strategies
- Incorporate SPARK SEL curriculum with scholars
- Ensure responsible use of educational resources and assets
- Report damages to hardware and fill out incident reports as needed
- Optimize timetables to manage learning time effectively
- Participate in staff development opportunities as a member of the SPARK Schools team
- English language fluency
- Police clearance certificate
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Studying part-time towards a B.Ed. or PGCE in the Intermediate or Senior Phase (3rd or 4th Year)
- Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology
- Strong desire to be part of a vibrant and dynamic technology-driven work environment
