Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet performance, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to ensure seamless coordination of logistics operations.
  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in fleet management, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Excel and Google Sheets is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Mercedes and Scania trucks, fridge and tautliner trailers, roadworthy (COF), licensing, and permits is essential.
  • Experience with gearing trucks for cross-border operations, with a focus on countries such as Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Lesotho, and eSwatini.
