Job Title: Skills Development Manager

At HR Genie, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skills Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering collaborative partnerships with local, national, and international stakeholders to promote awareness and develop activities on skills development and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Align internal and external capacity development activities with the strategic objectives of the national electric mobility programme.
  • Develop and implement an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses skills gaps, needs, and expectations of uYilo staff members.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff training effectiveness, success, and annual return on investment and report on them.
  • Support Senior Staff in the development and implementation of internship programmes that deploy different kinds of learning methods such as mentoring, coaching, and practical training.
  • Develop and manage an implementation strategy for training and human capacity building services in line with uYilo's Business and Operational Plans.
  • Develop and manage uYilo's training and human capacity building portfolio by working closely with the Director, Senior Staff, and key team members to develop strategic relationships with relevant learning and development specialists and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Master's level qualification in a relevant discipline including but not limited to training or education, learning management and development, human capacity development, human capital management.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a manager in a relevant discipline including but not limited to training or education, learning management and development, human capacity development, human capital management.
  • At least 5 years' experience in line-managing staff and team building.
  • Significant experience in design, delivery, and evaluation of training of individuals and organisations.
  • Experience in learning materials development and content development for the purposes of training.
  • Experience in regulations and procedures for obtaining accreditation and quality assurance compliance for training activities and interventions.
  • Experience in working with SETAs, QCTO, SAQA, and international accreditation bodies and authorities.
  • Experience in working with learning and content management systems, online learning, blended learning, web-conferencing, and webinar software and systems, e-learning tools.
  • Experience of strategically developing a portfolio of work, including developing projects and proposals and securing funding for these in the field of training and human capacity building.
  • Experience in managing projects, budgets, and multi-stakeholder work processes, including the use of project management and financial analysis tools.
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • South African Citizen
