At Headhunters, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Audit Director to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned audit professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

About the Role

The Financial Audit Director will be responsible for leading audit engagements, managing teams, and ensuring high-quality client service delivery. You will have the opportunity to work with various clients across different industries, providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, with experience in leading teams and managing complex projects. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities
  • Lead audit engagements, developing strategic plans and overseeing the execution of audit procedures
  • Manage and develop a team of auditors, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and success
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, providing tailored audit services to meet those requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and client service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an audit supervisor/manager role
  • Post-article experience in private sector external auditing is advantageous
  • Fully computer literate, with working knowledge of CaseWare, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in compilations, reviews, and audits, including attorney trust, estate agent, body corporate, SME audits
  • A thorough knowledge of IFRS for SMEs; IFRS; ISA; and taxation
  • A valid driver's license, with own transport
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
