The successful candidate will possess excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, motivate teams, and maintain good relationships with stakeholders. Strong technical knowledge and computer literacy in Microsoft packages are essential for this role. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with setting out methods, National Building Regulations, and NHBRC specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning:
    • Prepare comprehensive construction programs, including critical timelines and schedules of information.
    • Liaise with professional teams regarding project requirements.
    • Ensure all materials and labour have been listed, costed, and approved.
  • Subcontractor Appointment and Compliance:
    • Appoint sub-contractors, ensuring they are within budget and health and safety compliant.
    • Ensure shop drawings are received from sub-contractors and that they have up-to-date health and safety files.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience as a Contracts Manager.
  • Tertiary diploma or degree in building, quantity surveying, or construction management.
  • Excellent project management skills, including team motivation and stakeholder relationship-building.
  • Strong technical knowledge and computer literacy in Microsoft packages.
  • Familiarity with setting out methods, National Building Regulations, and NHBRC specifications.
