Job Summary

The Skills Mine (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Governance and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the MI secretariat and governance process, policies, and related procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Governance Processes
    • Develop and maintain the MI secretariat and governance process, policies, and related procedures to ensure compliance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
    • Ensure that defined secretariat and governance processes are in line with best practice in the field and meet all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Governance and Company Secretarial Functions
    • Provide governance and company secretarial support to the MIC for matters requiring approval, including reviewing and drafting resolutions taken by the MIC.
  • Manage Records and Documents
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the record and document management system for the relevant committees to ensure the safeguarding of documentation of the relevant committees.
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee the financial management relating to the activities of the MIC and ACMI.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Own and manage relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law (LLB) and CGISA professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years secretarial experience (post qualification) and at least 4 years as a Company Secretary.
  • Experience in the Public Sector.
