Position Overview

As an Insurance Sales Consultant, you will deliver exceptional sales service that drives the acquisition of business from both new and existing clients, contributing to the overall profitability and expansion of Old Mutual.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative strategies to enhance your insurance portfolio. Seek out new clients through networking, cold-calling, and direct outreach. Oversee and enhance portfolio profitability and growth by ensuring timely service and support for clients, including amendments, renewals, and claims. Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients. Offer tailored solutions by marketing non-life insurance products that meet client needs. Continuously expand your client base to ensure sustained portfolio growth. Identify and pursue cross-selling and upselling opportunities across all product lines. Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Maintain minimum agreed-upon quote volumes and sales ratios. Ensure compliance with cancellation and non-take-up ratios. Perform after-sales service tasks for your assigned client portfolio. Address and resolve escalated client inquiries and complaints promptly. Cultivate strong relationships with clients and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements in all interactions. Retain existing business, including renewal discussions, in accordance with established business processes and compliance standards. Foster collaborative relationships with other departments (underwriting, pricing, and claims) to identify process enhancements that improve customer experience. Effectively manage time and workloads to meet deadlines and targets.

Commitment to Quality Service

Oversee the complete customer experience for both new and existing business by providing first-line support to resolve queries. Proactively recommend service and relationship improvements where applicable. Contribute to a service-oriented culture that builds strong relationships, encourages innovation, and empowers others to deliver outstanding service.

Minimum Qualifications

FAIS Compliance in the Non-life Commercial product category. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role.
