Tourism Operations Coordinator

CapeNature is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Tourism Liaison Officer. This position will be based at the Goukamma Nature Reserve, where you will be responsible for coordinating the tourism operations and ensuring a high level of service excellence.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)- Implementation of Tourism Operational Systems
- Work with internal and external teams to implement standard operational procedures to improve the visitor experience.
- Facilitate and coordinate all tourism facilities maintenance and upgrades, including contributing to specifications for procurement and overseeing projects on the ground.
- Maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of the overall strategic plans of the directorate.
- Provide financial administration, human resource management, and logistical support to the Manager.
- Maintain relationships with concessionaire partnerships and ensure service excellence standards are met.
- A formal Tourism/Hospitality/Business-related qualification with at least three years' experience in the tourism/hospitality industry.
- A valid Code B driver's license.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
- Excellent communication, project coordination, time, and financial management skills.
- Language proficiency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- No criminal record.
- Experience in an eco-tourism environment is advantageous.
- Demonstrate experience managing accommodation/eco-tourism facilities.
- Background knowledge of nature-based tourism and conservation.
- Working knowledge of the RoomSeeker reservations system is an advantage.
