Nelson Mandela University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Pharmacist Lecturer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the acquisition of knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical sciences by undergraduate pharmacy students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching, assessment, and development of undergraduate BPharm courses.
  • Supervision of undergraduate research topics.
  • Conducting, publishing, and promoting research in Pharmacy.
  • Liaison with the Departments pharmaceutical industry partners and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitation and co-ordination of pharmaceutical sciences work integrated activities.
  • Involvement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Registration as a pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
  • One year's experience lecturing undergraduate pharmacy students in pharmaceutical sciences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in clinical pharmacy.
  • Potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by involvement in relevant engagement/consulting activities.
