Role Overview

The IT Support Specialist role involves providing technical support and training to staff both in person and remotely, managing IT assets and software licenses, and ensuring the efficient operation of computer systems, devices, and networks.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Management:

  • Configure and install user devices and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty devices and peripherals.
  • Ensure all devices are updated and comply with security protocols.
  • Provide user support and training as required.
  • Manage and update the IT asset register.

Software Management:

  • Install and manage relevant software on user devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly.
  • Ensure all software is licensed and updated.
  • Provide user support and training.

Network Management:

  • Manage networks across the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Ensure network security protocols are implemented and enforced.
  • Report relevant network queries to appropriate authorities.
Selection Criteria
