Job Title: Manager: Skills Planning and ResearchAbout the Role

We are recruiting for a Manager: Skills Planning and Research to join our team at Nambiti Technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Review Skills Plans: Develop and review the Skills Planning and Research Department's scope of coverage, and update the Skills Plan annually.
  • Lead Research Agenda and Programme: Lead the development and implementation of the company's Research Agenda and programme, developing innovative research approaches, activities, and methodologies.
  • Qualitative and Quantitative Research: Lead all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research, including study design and tool development, to identify and manage research projects that enhance skills development in the sector.
  • Workplace Skills Plans and ATRs: Manage and monitor the development and evaluation of Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs) in the Public Service Sector.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and produce reports on received WSPs and ATRs.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration: Identify, manage, and maintain mutual partnerships with Universities, Colleges, and company employer constituencies.
  • Monitoring and Implementation: Facilitate and maintain partnerships with other companies that incorporate government departments to monitor the implementation of WSPs and the SSPs.
  • Departmental Planning and Budgeting: Develop departmental plans and budgets.
  • Financial Management: Manage and monitor the financial resources, risks, and other resources relating to the Skills Planning and Research Department.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and update departmental policies and procedures.
  • Skills Planning Activities: Manage and implement the Skills Planning activities.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's in Human Resources, Education, Social Sciences, Management, or Business Administration (NQF 7) qualification.
  • Postgraduate Qualification: A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Education, Social Sciences, Management, or Business Administration (NQF 8) will serve as an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum experience of five (5) years in a skills development/planning and research environment at supervisory or management level.
  • Skills: Good understanding of research methods and approach, ability to lead, plan, and manage change.
  • Personal Qualities: Passionate, initiative, strong organizational skills, time management, negotiation, ability to set priorities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
