About the Role:
  • Key Responsibilities: Provide financial reporting, scanning project assistance, material master data maintenance, monitoring and liaison, reporting and analysis, stock control, compliance and risk management, customer service, and cost and financial control.
  • Reporting Line: Reports to the Management Accountant.
  • Location: Based at our head office, with regular site visits as required.
  • Working Hours: Standard working hours, with flexibility to meet business needs.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
  1. Deliver accurate and timely financial reports.
  2. Assist with scanning projects, including providing backup support to the Management Accountant.
  3. Maintain and correct Material Master data.
  4. Monitor scanning processes and liaise with factory systems.
  5. Prepare daily production scrap reports and attend related meetings.
  6. Compile monthly lead balancing and scrap reports.
  7. Coordinate and assist with factory stock counts.
  8. Investigate and resolve stock variances.
  9. Report stock count results to management.
  10. Operate within established procedures to ensure integrity and compliance.
  11. Identify and report risks to management.
  12. Ensure adherence to regulations to prevent wasteful spending.
  13. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  14. Represent the company in meetings and resolve problems with integrity.
  15. Contribute to budget preparation.
  16. Promote efficient and transparent use of resources.
  17. Explore cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Finance/Management Accounting or related fields (NQF 6), possession of or studying towards CIMA advantageous.
  • Experience: Manufacturing experience advantageous, experience in cost accounting/reporting or equivalent.
