Job Summary

The Data Analytics Manager will lead the implementation of the Audit Data Analytics strategy and operational plan, driving strategic objectives of value creation and enhancing overall quality on audit engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Audit Data Analytics strategy and operational plan.
  • Drive strategic objectives of value creation, deriving efficiencies through the use of audit analytics tools and techniques.
  • Manage all audit analytics engagements from planning through to execution, reporting, and delivery.
  • Lead client discussions for data retrieval and overall progress updates on audit analytics work being performed.
  • Manage engagement budgets (WIPs), staff, and engagement planning and tracking.
  • Report to leadership on engagement progress, challenges, and solutions to address identified concerns/challenges.

Technical Competencies

  • Ability to understand business processes, risk, and controls.
  • Ability to understand audit objectives and pose data analytic procedures and/or solutions to meet the said objective.
  • Ability to understand and frame client problem statements and put forward a data analytics or digital solution to meet client requirements.
  • Ability to utilize industry technologies to apply data analytics solutions, including data analysis tools, business intelligence solutions, robotic process automation solutions, and continuous auditing solutions.
  • Ability to apply SDLC methodologies to solution developments.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence, with experience in managing audit analytics engagements and driving strategic objectives of value creation.

Work Level

This is a management-level position, requiring strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Location

The position is based in Durban, South Africa, and requires regular travel to client sites.
