We are seeking a Renewable Energy Facility Lead to join our team at ENGIE Southern Africa. As a mid-senior level manager, you will be responsible for leading the operations and maintenance teams to ensure that the power generating facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operations and maintenance teams to achieve corporate goals of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement plans to improve plant availability, reliability, and financial performance.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of maintenance and operational strategies to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address operational and maintenance issues.
- Provide leadership through workforce planning, succession planning, and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- B-Tech / University Degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
- Relevant management qualification would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated competence as a generalist in O&M management.
Experience:
12 years' experience in a production plant environment, preferably in power plants, at least 5 years of which should have been in the capacity of Maintenance or Operations Manager.
