Job Title: HR and Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:
Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all payroll-related changes, including loading new employees, terminating existing employees, and managing payroll reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll-related changes, including loading new employees and terminating existing employees.
  • Manage payroll reports, including variance reports, remuneration recon, nett pay reports, and medical aid reports.
  • Run payroll reports for checking and audit purposes.
  • Process UIF declaration and send ACB CSV file for banking purposes.
  • Sync all payroll changes to SSS and upload payslips to SSS and release notifications to employees.
  • Draft OID provision, leave provision, and 13th provision.
  • Manage all Sage Self-Service changes, including processing leave applications, creating new approval groups, and managing new employees.
  • Process third-party reports, including union, standard bank, medical aid, and provident fund reports.
  • Assist with any financial matters related to salaries, staff benefits, and personnel matters.
  • Compile HR/Payroll reports as requested.
  • Handle queries related to HR and payroll matters.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in an HR environment.
  • 3 to 5 years of payroll administrator experience.
  • Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Human Resources Management, payroll, or equivalent.
  • Any qualification in HR Development will be an added advantage.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced to master level experience using SAGE SBCPP or Premier and SAGE Self-Service.
  • General appreciation of SA Law and basic processes relating to payroll.
  • Good report compilation and writing skills.
  • High sensitivity to deadlines and high attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and have a valid driver's license.
