We are seeking a highly skilled RD&A Technologist to contribute to the Kerry team in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply beverage development and application functions
  • Collaborate with in-house flavor systems and ingredients, including texturants, emulsifiers, and plant-based options
  • Design and implement beverages across various segments
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key beverage customers, providing troubleshooting support as needed
  • Initiate innovative concepts in collaboration with marketing and business development teams
  • Manage flavor and beverage application labs, overseeing equipment purchases and raw material management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry legislation, technologies, and innovations
  • Work closely with mixologists and food service teams to grow the QSR business on syrups and powder mixers

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or B.Tech in Food Technology
  • At least 2 years of work experience in RD&A roles within a regulated food/ingredients industry
  • Mix of office, laboratory, and production/processing experience
  • Understanding of the current market and customers
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Up-to-date knowledge of key competitors and their activities within the region
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate
