We are seeking a talented and experienced Innovation and Application Specialist to join our Kerry team in South Africa.

Work location: Kerry premises, Durban

Reporting to: RD&A Senior Scientist

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop beverage applications and formulations using in-house flavour systems and ingredients
  • Work closely with the mixologist and food service team to grow the QSR business on syrups and powder mixers
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and flavour profiling to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to initiate new innovative concepts
  • Manage flavour and beverage application labs in terms of equipment purchase and raw materials
  • Stay up to date with industry legislation, technologies, and innovations

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or B.Tech in Food Technology
  • At least 2 years work experience in RD&A various roles within a regulated food / ingredients industry
  • Strong understanding of beverage flavour profiles and sensory evaluation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate
