RF Technician Job Description

At HR Genie, we are seeking a skilled RF Technician to join our team in the Testing Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in performing and documenting various tests, including electrical, environmental stress screening, and advanced final acceptance tests on antenna sub-assemblies and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inline electrical testing of antenna sub-assemblies, including cables, PCBs, and switches, during production.
  • Verify and sign off on assembly instructions for performed electrical tests.
  • Accurately record and document test results, ensuring high levels of precision and attention to detail.
  • Set up and conduct environmental stress screening tests as per Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP).
  • Perform advanced final acceptance tests on antenna systems and document the results, providing valuable insights for improvement.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with antenna builds or designs, both electronic and mechanical, utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Analyze and record recurring build problems, suggesting potential root causes and contributing to process improvements.
  • Perform product repairs and reworks on an ad-hoc basis, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Assist R&D engineers with prototype testing, providing valuable feedback and expertise.
  • Maintain test equipment, including tools, platforms, and jigs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Support automated testing developments and propose process improvements, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and continuously improving test programs and equipment, contributing to the growth and success of the company.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Adhere to company QA procedures and standards, upholding the highest levels of quality and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in using test equipment, such as vector network analyzers, LCR meters, and multi-meters.
  • Fine-pitch soldering skills are an advantage, demonstrating expertise and precision.
  • Ability to work independently with high levels of responsibility, making informed decisions and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, ensuring effective collaboration and feedback.
  • Good planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities, driving projects forward and achieving goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Initiative to acquire new skills as needed, demonstrating a commitment to growth and development.
  • Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a production and testing environment, with experience in radio frequency environments being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word (Intermediate level), utilizing software skills to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Language proficiency in English, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
