Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tax Administration Specialist to join our team at Skills Connector. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns for companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with South African Revenue Service (SARS) regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing Tax Returns: Ensure all information is accurate and compliant with SARS regulations.
  • Document Management: Collect supporting documents and maintain up-to-date records.
  • SARS Engagement: Handle queries, updates, and submission follow-ups, resolving tax issues or disputes as needed.
  • Tax Administration: Assist with scheduling appointments, handling emails, and updating client information in the system.
  • Audit Support: Contribute to submissions of EMP 501, EMP 201's, VAT 201's, and relevant audits.
Requirements:
  • Matric Plus Accounting / Tax Technician Designation: Essential for this role.
  • Additional Certificates: A certificate in Tax and Accounting would be advantageous.
  • Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, with expertise in SARS matters.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all tasks, including tax returns and document management.
  • Tax Law Knowledge: Basic knowledge of South African tax laws is crucial for success in this role.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience.
