Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to join our team at IT Ridge Technologies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing operational planning, workflow, and application processes to ensure the timely delivery of quality IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning: Develop short-term work plans aligned with the BSTD strategy and business plans, and communicate section activities.
  • Workflow Management: Improve workflow and application of processes, procedures, and systems to optimize section resource use.
  • Policy Refining: Provide advice on refining policies, processes, and systems to improve alignment with related divisional processes and systems.
  • Project Delivery: Manage and facilitate the delivery of section-specific outputs, including the timely delivery of projects and readiness of solutions to transition into operations.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize section resource use, allocate work, and manage the accountability of resources, and provide input into cost management.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality IT solutions in accordance with business requirement specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the work of the section and take specific actions for the implementation of improvements.
  • Quality Management: Manage, monitor, evaluate, and report on the quality, turnaround, and impact of section deliverables.
  • Performance Culture: Encourage a performance culture in the section, define performance expectations, and conduct effective performance management of direct reports.
  • Employee Development: Drive priority development of employees by promoting and supporting the career management and development of direct reports.
  • IT Strategy: Execute the IT strategy within the section and drive transformation of the CODI systems through the implementation and maintenance of a secure and high availability solution.
Requirements
  • Education: Honours degree in Computer Science (NQF 8) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 8 to 10 years' experience in an IT environment, 3 years' experience in managing solutions in the banking or financial industry, and 4 years' management exposure to.net frameworks, Redhat enterprise, apache, tomcat, and JDK technologies environments.
  • Technical Skills: Technical background in an appropriate area (e.g. software development, infrastructure, integration), knowledge and skill in industry, organisational and business awareness, quality assurance, continuous improvement, continuous learning and professional development, business continuity planning, systems integration, systems specialisation, IT governance, risk and compliance, collaboration, integration testing, business relationship management, IT enablement reporting, financial management, information management, and project management.
