The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, providing opinions and advice on corporate and commercial law, and drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements. You will also participate in corporate projects, manage litigation, and identify new and amended legislation that impacts our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and provide opinions on corporate and commercial law
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including corporate, commercial, and operations agreements
  • Participate in corporate projects and provide legal advisory services
  • Manage and assist with corporate litigation
  • Identify new and amended legislation that impacts our organization and advise on implementation
  • Understand and advise on technology law and privacy
  • Advise on FAIS and related legislation
  • Manage legal instructions and attorneys on our panel
  • Oversee contract management processes and manage contract management in corporate legal
  • Governance, including policies review and management
  • Provide training and awareness to staff
Requirements:
  • LLB degree
  • Admitted attorney of the High Court with between 3-5 years post articles experience
  • Corporate/commercial legal advisory experience
  • Litigation experience
  • Comfortable with technology due to digitization of processes
