We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Mr Price Group. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for supporting the store manager in achieving sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Stock Management: Ensure accurate receipt and unpacking of stock, monitor stock levels, and maintain a clean and organized stockroom. Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns as needed.
- Sales Growth & Profitability: Analyze sales and profitability reports to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to increase sales performance. Monitor product performance and provide feedback to support centre to enhance sales.
- Risk Management: Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe and secure store environment.
- Customer Experience Management: Implement customer experience processes to meet customer service standards. Ensure visual standards, customer feedback, and general housekeeping are maintained.
- Leadership & Development: Lead and drive the team to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy. Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs to enhance talent management and succession planning.
- NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent
- 3 Years' Experience in Retail (Management Experience Advantageous)
- Understanding of Sales & Service Management
- Budgeting Skills
- Computer Literate
- Good Communication Skills
- Understanding of Retail Trade
- Brand, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance product understanding
