In this role, you will be responsible for providing immunisations, including school-based immunisations, and deworming of learners. You will also manage early detection and treatment of health conditions in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the identification, design, and delivery of health awareness campaigns at clinic and community level.
- Maintain and sustain acceptable administrative procedures and provide relevant information for management to establish health trends, identify gaps, and optimize planning in the delivery of healthcare.
- Provide health education to learners and parents about the importance of immunisations.
- Conduct health assessments of learners according to relevant policies and guidelines.
- Provision of immunizations, including school-based immunizations, and deworming of learners. Manage and safeguard all relevant health records, including consent forms where possible.
- Apply procedural nursing sequences with regards to diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, evaluation, and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
- Initiate, facilitate, and maintain community and intersectoral collaboration at clinic/regional level.
