Fund Accountant (Hybrid) - Cape Town

Labournet is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join their dynamic team of financial professionals. As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data for our investment funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture and process investment trades
  • Perform accurate Net Asset Value calculations, including expense and accrual calculations
  • Conduct weekly and daily cash and stock reconciliations, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Manage daily cash transactions, including preparing payment and transfer instructions
  • Perform daily and monthly asset pricing
  • Monitor corporate actions and update the system
  • Investigate and respond to queries from dealers, brokers, custodians, auditors, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client service level agreements, and internal controls
  • Perform weekly and monthly compliance checks
  • Send valuation emails to pre-defined distribution lists
  • Complete quarterly statutory returns
  • Update and maintain relevant sections in the delivery matrix
Requirements:
  • Accounting or finance-related degree
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles or 1-2 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or financial services
