Job Title: Steward/ess

Crew Life at Sea is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Steward/ess to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  1. Cabin and Public Area Cleaning: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of guest cabins and public areas, including making beds, changing linens, and replenishing amenities.
  2. Guest Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, attending to their needs and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  3. Restocking and Inventory: Restock and replenish supplies, amenities, and linens in guest cabins and public areas, monitoring inventory levels and reporting any shortages or replenishment needs.
  4. Laundry Services: Collect, sort, and process guest laundry, ensuring proper handling and delivery.
  5. Waste Management: Ensure proper waste disposal, recycling, and cleanliness in guest cabins and public areas.
  6. Safety and Security: Follow safety and security procedures, including knowledge of emergency response protocols and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and smooth operations.
  8. Hygiene and Sanitation: Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment.
  9. Adaptability: Willingness to work in different areas of the ship and perform various tasks as required.
  10. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  1. Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
  2. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and organization.
  3. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy items, and handle physically demanding tasks.
  4. Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  5. Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills advantageous.
  6. Hygiene and Safety Awareness: Knowledge and adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards.
  7. Teamwork: Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  8. Previous Experience: Prior experience in a customer service or housekeeping role is beneficial.
  9. Positive Attitude: A positive and professional demeanor with a genuine desire to provide excellent service.
  10. Age Requirements: Must meet the minimum age requirements set by the cruise line for employment.
