Job Title: Head of Merchandising

Telebest is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Merchandising to join our team. As a key member of our buying department, you will be responsible for researching, sourcing, and developing products to ensure the best range offering for our market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze market trends to inform buying decisions
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery timescales
  • Monitor stock quality and escalate discrepancies to suppliers and management
  • Run and analyze reports to inform business decisions
  • Communicate and coordinate with the planning team and suppliers
  • Assist the buying team in planning promotional activities
  • Visit stores regularly to build relationships with operators and management
  • Travel to meet suppliers, source products, and attend trade fairs as required
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years' experience in a buying role
  • Matric and relevant diploma or degree
  • Strong purchasing skills and commercial awareness
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
