Job Title: Sales Representative for Premium Alcohol Distribution

Performer Recruitment and Consulting is seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team in Pretoria and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who can drive sales growth, build strong relationships with customers, and deliver exceptional results in the formal on-trade channel.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the premium alcohol distribution industry. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for strategically attaining channel-specific availability targets, ensuring precise execution of brand availability across channels, and elevating brand equity as a primary catalyst for all initiatives and engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Availability and Sales Volumes:
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve channel-specific availability targets.
    • Ensure accurate execution of brand availability across channels.
    • Enhance brand equity through innovative initiatives and engagements.
    • Optimize sales volume through effective channel management.
    • Channelize brand prioritization to maximize volume.
  • Promotions and Brand Visibility:
    • Execute promotions in alignment with brand equity standards.
    • Channelize promotions for optimal brand-channel synergy.
    • Implement the National Promotions Strategy meticulously.
    • Monitor and optimize promotion ROI.
    • Enhance brand visibility through effective merchandising and displays.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Administer and update call cycles methodically.
    • Achieve 100% adherence to the call cycle.
    • Ensure accurate coding of all outlets.
    • Fulfill all requirements during representative calls.
    • Complete administrative and reporting tasks in a timely manner.
  • Consumer Interaction:
    • Engage with consumers responsibly across all touchpoints.
    • Gather consumer data aligned with target demographics.
    • Relay consumer insights and expectations effectively.
  • Financial Asset Management:
    • Adhere to quantity and cycle discount parameters.
    • Prompt completion and submission of PODs and credit notes.
    • Maintain and upkeep company vehicles.
    • Manage vehicle mileage within budgetary limits.
    • Responsible handling of promotional stock.
Requirements
  • 3 Year Tertiary Education (Beneficial)
  • 2-3-Years Relevant experience - experience within FMCG / Food & Beverage, specifically in the HORECA/Formal On Trade channel.
  • Sales experience within the region specific to the role is required.
  • Product, service knowledge and understanding of category management.
  • Knowledge of marketing and accounting principles.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to conceptualise and negotiate.
  • Customer orientation.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and creativity (big picture thinking).
  • Team player and ability to work independently using initiative.
  • Comfortable to work weekend/ evenings.
