Retail Territory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Area Sales Lead to oversee the sales performance of multiple stores within a designated territory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing operational costs, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Performance Management: Directly oversee the profitability of stores in your assigned area by achieving sales targets and effectively managing wages and other expenses.
- Store Operations Oversight: Track sales performance, identify areas needing improvement, and take necessary actions to drive business results.
- Employee Development: Drive and develop employee ability to engage with customers to required standards.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure stores adhere to company policies, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Non-Compliance Issues: Address non-compliance issues by implementing corrective actions and ensuring future adherence to standards.
- Talent Management: Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain managers for the assigned area and broader business.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and regulate stock levels using established procedures to minimize stock loss and ensure sufficient inventory.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Management, B Com (or similar preferable).
- Work Experience: 3-6 years of experience in Retail Area Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
- Analytical and Budgeting Skills: Strong analytical and budgeting skills for monitoring and managing financial performance.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data effectively and make strategic decisions based on insights.
- Leadership and People Management: Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the capability to motivate and develop a team.
- Labor Legislation: Comprehensive knowledge of labor legislation and its practical application in a retail setting.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting and task execution.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated strategic thinking, able to identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions.
